Our LOWMASS Road Wheelset has been developed as a "do it all" performance road wheelset, which achieves the balance of features that our customers are asking us for;

- Not too deep to be difficult to handle in windy conditions
- A light but still aero rim
- Optimised width to retain their aero performance with 30mm road tyres
- Precision built to the usual LOWMASS standards

Closely matching road rim and tyre widths is essential to retain a wheel’s aero performance. If the tyre (imagine the tyre as the leading edge of a wing) is too wide or narrow, by only a few mm, the wheel’s aero performance is terrible. So much so that we believe all wheel companies should state the specific tyre and size used to achieve their claimed aero performance

Various tests have demonstrated that the difference between using internal or external spoke nipples is greater than the difference between many of the claimed fastest wheels

Our advice is simple – if you want a road wheel to achieve its best aero potential, you should carefully match your rim width to the tyre width you plan to ride, and build with internal nipples, whether for racing or efficient every day riding

The LOWMASS Carbon Road Tubeless Disc Wheelset is designed to be used specifically with 30mm tyres. If you choose to use larger tyres, you will compromise your aerodynamic performance

With 44mm depth, 420g rim weight and width matched to 30mm tyres, these road wheels feel fast and great to ride. 30mm tyres bring comfort, reduced rolling resistance, additional grip and a huge tyre pressure range

If you are looking for the very best aero advantage for racing or summer PBs, you should be looking at a deeper rim with a narrower tyre than this wheelset, something like a 55mm rim with a 25mm tyre would be the best place to start
