Our 700C AC20-440 multi-purpose aluminium tubeless wheelset is now also available for rim brake bikes as a custom build

This super reliable rim builds into a lovely tubeless or clincher wheelset and is as light as we are happy with for a rim brake rim. As tubeless aluminium rim brake rims get lighter than this, they have less metal/material, usually thinner brake tracks, which limits the wear life of the wheelset

Its strength to weight ratio is superb for a 440g rim

A 20mm internal width matches nicely with cyclo cross tyres, but also gravel and road tyres too, making this a truly multi-purpose wheelset

For road we would recommend a 25mm minimum tyre width. A 25mm Continental GP5000 measures 26mm on this rim. (We can supply with GP5000 set up tubeless - contact us for more information)

- 1541g wheel set built with rim brake version of the LOWMASS AC20-440 (440g) aluminium tubeless rims                
(weighed with 24 D-Light spokes and Shimano 11s free hub) 

- 24/28/32 black SAPIM CX-Ray spokes and aluminium nipples 

or

- 24/28/32 black SAPIM D-Light spokes and aluminium nipples, these are SAPIM’s premium round spoke. They weigh 0.5g more per spoke than CX-RAY

- Lightweight and reliable BITEX RAF/RAR12 Sealed Bearing Hubs
There is a lighter variant but the larger bearings in these hubs are better for the long term life of the wheelset

- 10.5mm machined brake track
- 100mm front and 130mm rear axle width
- ABEC5 TPI high-grade precision sealed bearings 
- Aluminium axles and free hub body 
- SHIMANO/SRAM 11s, SRAM XD/XDR and CAMPAGNOLO freehub options
- Tubeless tape and valves fitted 
- QR skewers are not included

Hand built in the UK using P&K Lie stands and tension meters for the ultimate in precision building
